This work deals with the flood of images and data in our digitized time through the multitude of media devices, content and data. Similar to how the generation of our parents zapped through television, we zap today through Instagram, Google, Apps and Co., but the amount and ubiquity of content has increased dramatically. For instance, every minute 400 hours of video content are uploaded on YouTube. Moreover we are confronted with many content about the happenings in the world like war, terror and more recently refugee disasters into the home living room or ubiquitous on the iPhone. Next second we shop on Amazon or write business e-mails.
In this work I’ve tracked my internet consumption with my laptop in one week. With the technique of overlays I show the immediacy of information and how those pictures might mix and blur in our head. But there is also thea chance to find new interesting details and information. Serendipity.
